On World Autism Day 958 Santero puts the legendary red PizzAut apron on the bottle

We couldn't miss the inauguration of PizzAut's Monza office on Sunday 2 April

2 April is an important day: we celebrate the World Autism Day, an opportunity to raise awareness of the autistic condition and promoting inclusion.

It is no coincidence that 2 April will also be the day of inauguration of the Monza branch of PizzAut, a project we embraced some time ago and are privileged to support and see grow up.

The emotion is great and the’eager anticipation, also because at the inauguration there will be many prestigious personalitiesabove all the participation of the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella.

This pizzeria is a’unique enterprise, run by young people with autism, who have proven to be able to excel in this field offering products of high quality and a truly extraordinary service. PizzAut is a’experience, represents the encounter between the passion for pizza and the desire to create a inclusive working environment and respectful of diversity. Customers can not only enjoy delicious pizzas, but also support an important cause.

Happy to see the start of a new, inclusive story

We certainly couldn't miss it! We will also be there, of course with the bottles of extra dry and non-alcoholic Spritz created specifically to support the PizzAut project, which has been on the market for several months and has also recently available on Deliveroo HOP.

They will be delivered to the new headquarters in Monza two very special bottles, a small tribute to symbolise our commitment and our love for this cause: two size bottles magnum wearing the mythical red apron of PizzAut, created by the artist Diego Bormida.

We liked the idea of “putting on an apron” and be present today and tomorrow alongside Nico Acampora and the boys, for the start of this important new adventure. There are two messages on the bottles: “let's nurture inclusion” and “no trampling on dreams”.

Inclusion as a tool to overcome the barriers of autism: we're talking to you

Autism is a neurodevelopmental disorder that can manifest itself in different ways in each person: some live independent lives, work, study and have social relationships, while others need constant support in carrying out their daily activities.

It is important to understand that people with autism can have difficulty to understand the social relations and interactions, but this does not mean that they do not want to connect with others. They may have interests and passions that make them unique and special, and they can enrich our lives in many ways.

This 2 April, we have all the more reason to take a moment, reflect on the importance of inclusion and the understanding. Together we can work to create a more welcoming world for people with autism and to ensure that they have the same opportunities and rights as other people.
The world is changing in small steps. Start taking yours.
