The winery 958 Santero was born in Piedmont, in the North West of Italy, in 1958 from the intuition and determination of the Santero brothers. In the background is the great Italian sparkling wine industry that was born in Piedmont in 1865. 

A lesson in history, knowledge and corporate values that 958 Santero, from 1958 to the present day, has been able to translate into a personal interpretation in the name of creativity. For some years now, in fact, the sparkling wines, cocktails and aperitifs signed 958 Santero are distinguished not only by their quality, but also by the originality of their extremely creative packaging, which is never banal and is at the forefront of new perspectives in the design and dissemination of completely innovative containers and packaging methods. 

Today 958 Santero is modern, dynamic, always connected, dedicated to sharing and constantly evolving, a company that remembers its roots but looks to the future, setting goals and facing challenges both at home and abroad.

Foundation

  • In 1958, after a few years in the wine business of the Santero family, Santero SpA was founded in Santo Stefano Belbo in the province of Cuneo. This was the beginning of the Santero family's entrepreneurial history in the large wine industry.

1975/1980

New technology and new headquarters

  • The Santero family looks ahead and equips the company with the latest technology to produce wines and sparkling wines. Santero SpA changes its headquarters and moves production to a new plant on the outskirts of Santo Stefano Belbo. More space for logistics and lines, but also for offices and the necessary infrastructure for the company.

Brand 958 is born

  • From an intuition of Gianfranco Santero, the company's brand name changes and the numbers 958 are inserted, referring to the year of its foundation. It is the turning point that will mark the production, communication and marketing of Santero products.

2010

The iconic yellow bottle

  • With a view to original and creative marketing, new products and new bottles are born. The 958 Santero brand is conveyed on a new bottle with a label that highlights the logo. Thus was born the iconic yellow bottle that is still today the flagship of 958 Santero production.

2011

Landing on TV

  • 958 Santero begins to appear in TV programmes and commercials. These are the first steps of an all-round communication that, in an original way, will be practised, with great success, on traditional media and also on the web and social media.

2012

A new footprint

  • These years saw the birth of the Hand bottle. Produced exclusively for 958 Santero, it has the cast of a hand impressed in the glass. It is used for various 958 Santero products and is a great commercial success. The 958 Santero branded Hand is so popular that it is copied by some competitors.

2015

Art and bottles

  • 958 Santero started the production of bottles designed by artists and illustrators. Thus was born its “Bubble of Art” line, a range of uniquely designed and extremely creative bottles that represent a “unicum” on the world wine scene.

Fruit cocktails

  • 958 Santero extends its product range to fruit cocktails: Bellini, Rossini, Mimosa.

2019

The only red we like

  • 958 Santero enters the world of aperitifs with 958 Santero Mix Aperitif. Red is the colour of a product with a moderate alcohol content that innovates the sector.

2021

A new format

  • Production is again being expanded. This time they are looking at alternative containers to bottles. A line of cocktails in aluminium cans is born, including a non-alcoholic Bellini and a brand new Mediterranean Tonic.

A new way of drinking Spritz

  • On the 958 Santero agenda is a new project that still concerns the world of aperitifs: it is called 958 Santero Spritz Aperitivo and is the new declination of one of the most classic Italian aperitifs.

Partnerships

  • 958 Santero has many partnerships with internationally renowned brands, initiatives and artists to its credit. From the collaboration with Bauli, the Italian confectionery brand, to the creative bottles designed by Romero Britto, the multifaceted Brazilian artist and designer for leading global brands, to the synergy with VR46, the stable of the Italian motorcycling champion, Valentino Rossi, to the collaboration with Onlus PizzAut, an original Italian format of social inclusion dedicated to girls and boys with autism.

  • It is called Elite and it is a line signed by 958 Santero entirely conceived and realised for the Horeca, that is to say for the Hotellerie-Restaurant-Café commercial sector. From the bottle to the label, everything speaks of exclusivity, with the bubbles of Extra Dry, Bellini cocktail and Moscato.
